About

Hi! I'm the CAHMA Momma.

I'm so glad you're here.

HELLO!

Like many moms, I wear a lot of hats.

I’m a full-time professional working in higher education, a wife, a mom of two active kids, and a volunteer in our schools, church, youth sports, and community. Life is busy, and most days there simply aren’t enough hours.

For years I found myself asking…

How did our grandparents do it?

  • They grew gardens.
  • They canned vegetables.
  • They preserved food.
  • They cooked from scratch.
  • They wasted very little.
  • They knew their local farmers.

And somehow they managed to build strong families and communities. At the same time, I don’t believe we have to live exactly like they did. We have incredible technology available today that can actually make healthy living easier.

That’s where CAHMA Momma was born.

My Mission

I'm learning how to combine the best of both worlds: The timeless wisdom of heritage living with the convenience of modern technology.

I'm learning to:

  • choose cleaner ingredients
  • reduce processed foods
  • replace unnecessary household chemicals
  • eliminate plastics where practical
  • support local farmers and small businesses
  • prepare more food at home without spending every evening in the kitchen
  • create healthier habits that my family can actually maintain

My personal health journey:

Like many women, I’m working to lose weight, improve my health, and feel better—not through perfection, but through consistent, sustainable changes.

  • You’ll see my successes.
  • You’ll also see my mistakes.

Because this website isn’t about pretending to have all the answers. It’s about learning together.

What You'll Find Here:

You’ll find honest product reviews, ingredient research, recipes, gardening projects, fermentation experiments, freezer meals, educational resources, family travel ideas, and practical ways to simplify healthy living.

  • Everything is researched, as best I can.
  • Everything is tested.
  • Everything is shared honestly.
  • If something doesn’t work, I’ll tell you.
  • If it’s worth buying, you’ll know why.
  • If there’s a better option, we’ll find it together.

My Hope:

More than anything, I hope CAHMA Momma becomes a community.

  • A place where busy moms encourage one another instead of competing.
  • Where healthy living feels realistic instead of overwhelming.
  • Where questions are welcomed.
  • Where progress matters more than perfection.
  • Because healthier families aren’t built overnight.
  • They’re built one small decision at a time.

I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s learn together.
